It is vitally important that as many people as possible write to our bishops to let them know we want to be heard. Below are letters we have sent to the Apostolic Nuncio to ask for a meeting to discuss the appointment of the next Archbishop of Washington. You may use them as examples of what to write or even just make a copy, particularly of the January letter, and mail it to the Nuncio. You may also copy your letter to the Cardinals noted on the December and January letters. Their addresses are on the Contact information page.
Above all, be respectful and concise. No one wants to read a lengthy letter.
We will soon post sample letters to U.S. bishops, asking their help in establishing better communications between the laity and the hierarchy. They all say in their speeches that they need the help of the laity. Our answer is: HERE WE ARE. TALK TO US.
